Michael joined the practice in 1999 and became a partner in 2007. He has extensive experience in the design and delivery of complex and challenging projects. His technical expertise, attention to detail and his ability to work across many building types reinforces the practices emphasis on ensuring that AMA delivers a professional and responsive service to its clients.

Michael maintains a key involvement in all his projects and under his leadership the practice has achieved a reputation for delivering considered and well-crafted buildings.

Kon Ioannidis, Dip Arch MSc RIBA Chartered Architect

Kon joined AMA in 2017 and became a Partner in 2026. Since joining the practice, he has established a reputation for leading projects confidently from initial concept through to completion. Known for his attention to detail and in‑depth knowledge of the Building Regulations, Kon adds significant value at all stages of the process, particularly in technically demanding projects. His problem‑solving mindset plays a key role in achieving successful outcomes for clients.

Kon has extensive experience across the education, healthcare and defence sectors, as well as commercial and residential developments. He frequently works within sensitive contexts and historic environments, particularly in and around Cambridge, where a thoughtful, measured approach to design and delivery is essential.
