The Scheme
The Scheme consisted of 8 No affordable units on an exception site located off
Sarcel in Stisted nr Braintree in Essex.
The houses comprise:
4 No 56sqm, I bedroom 2 person houses in a terrace of 4
2 No 76sqm, 2 bedroom 4 person houses, semi detached
2 No 86 sqm, 3 bedroom 5 person houses, semi detached

The scheme was designed to meet:
Lifetime Homes Standards
The Code for Sustainable Homes level 4
Secured by design.

The Concept
We designed the scheme to the “Essex Design Guide”. All houses have a 50 degree
roof pitch with dormer windows, timber cottage style windows. The external materials
are a mixture of red stock brickwork and render.
